Unfortunately, just two days before the wedding, Jonathan was killed in a motorcycle accident. She sure was shattered by the news, but was adamant to marry him. Therefore, by using the posthumous marriage tradition prevalent in France, she married her dead fiancé. Considering the longevity of their relationship, and the fact that they had been living together and had common bank accounts, the courts granted her the permission to marry Jonathan.
