Annie Deadman’s “Blast” Claims To Glide You Through Your Sore Menopause And Your Lighter Self In Just 7 Days.

All of us must have witnessed our mother or elderly women in the house, in their 40s or above, drinking too much or gaining weight. They have worries of the whole world and thus neglect their health and themselves. According to the statistics given by the Public Health England, about 83% of women are over-weight and not exercising enough because of the anxiety for their children and family.
Just like these women, there is 52-year-old Kathryn Flett with an extremely hectic schedule and a consistently growing waist size.
She is living with her 10-year-old son and her 81-year-old father who is about to have an operation. Her life is a far cry from being sorted. After looking into her son’s and father’s needs and work, she hardly has any time left for herself, which she claims to be the reason for ‘Mystery of the Permanently Disappearing Waistline’. Flett is about 5’7”, who had a respectable 10-12 waist size throughout her 20s. However, this changed after she delivered her son. Shopping was one of the most procrastinated and loathed tasks after that. In her own words, “Whenever I tried on a size 14 something very peculiar appeared to be happening: size 14 was clearly being cut to smaller patterns.”
Kathryn then finally decided to buy her first post-maternity size 16.
Later, she purchased size 18, which was a serious reality check for her and finally made her realize she was drowning. She stepped on to the scale and measured herself with a tape-measure and was determined to do something about it. It was then when she came across Annie Deadman, a 56-year-old woman, with the fittest and enviable body she had ever seen.
“For women over 40, life can be more complicated and demanding with family and full-time work. Therefore finding the time (and the discipline) to stick to a fat-loss program takes a huge amount of willpower,” said Annie.
Annie specializes with menopausal women and has devised a program called “Blast” for them. This program is specially designed keeping in mind the hectic lives of midlife women and their negligence towards themselves. Her program works in a way that makes women understand their body and the changes it is going through. She understands that by the time women reach their mid-40s nature is working against them and hence, staying healthy can be quite a task.
She also understands that the women at this age are extremely self-conscious about their body and working out in front of anyone is quite uncomfortable.
That’s where Annie being warm, funny and entirely non-judgmental helps. Though she’s based in South-West London and runs in-person boot-camps and fitness classes called “Blast”, one can also access her online. Kathryn opted for the latter. Her regimen focuses on eating right- high protein and negligible carbohydrates while building up muscle through strength work.
“The fitter you are, the more chance you have of a milder menopause,” she said.
Deadman’s outlook towards fitness sets her apart from the rest. She makes it a point to encourage her clients. Kathryn met her at the start of the course. Annie took her measurements and left with a promise to check her progress by the end of the week. Though Kathryn was humored by the deadline, Annie reassured her.
According to Annie, “The way to shed fat is to eat unprocessed food and to train in such a way that your body switches from munching on muscle to re-fuelling on fat.”
She mentions how one has to earn their carbs in their diet. It is all about ‘good normal food, inch-loss and half a bottle of wine occasionally’. But one must earn it. Flett was really inspired after her meet with Annie and stocked her fridge with protein, veggies and lots of mineral water while removing all the temptations on Annie’s advice.
All of this with Flett’s desire to gain control over her body and Annie’s short workouts, helped keep Kathryn motivated.
Kathryn was enjoying her workouts. She was comfortable as she was working out at home where there’s no one around to judge. She also outdid herself and made some serious adjustments in her eating habits and was now binging on the ‘right’ kind of carbs. After just four days into the program, Flett decided to weigh herself. She discovered that she had lost 3lb and by the end of the week, she had lost 5lb. Moreover, her measurements were lower at almost every bit of my body.
